Wrinkles makes fun of our human aversion to having them. An Edvard Munch-like Screamer is positioned in front of an old-style geological illustration of the Grand Canyon, reminding us that this aging process has been going on for a long, long time.
The life-giving sun illuminates the scene while helping to cause our dismay. In the landscape, age brings beauty, richness and texture. In humans that texture is wrinkles.
