The Runner
Digital print, wood, metal on canvas 49"w 37"h 4"d
The stick-man runner in the middle is racing with two younger versions of himself, trying to keep up with his previous achievements. The GPS-like color map uses trophies to mark his past accomplishments. The end of the race is in sight. Is he racing through life and missing too much? Is he running from death, the grim reaper not too far behind?
We're all runners in life, figuratively. We're running to accomplish and experience as much as we can in the time we have left. What's on your bucket list?
The trophy at the end of the race is a small 3-d trophy mounted to the canvas.
